Star TV UK’s experiment to re-run its hit show ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ on Star Life Ok seems to be working a treat, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
The romantic saga of Arnav and Khushi, pulled in 29,800 viewers at 14:00 for the Hindi version – the best ratings since its launch on Monday. The show went on to beat other programmes that were airing at the same time on rival channels including Star Plus, which was broadcasting repeat of ‘Veera’ (600 viewers) and Rishtey with ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ grabbing just 2,300 viewers in the same slot.
It wasn’t all good news for the broadcaster, as ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ English dubbed version is yet to make a mark after hovering around just 1,000 viewers since Monday in the 18:00 slot. Last night, the show mustered in 1,600 viewers.
While ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ topped Star Life Ok’s ratings yesterday, ‘Savdhaan India’ was next with 24,600 viewers and ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ getting 21,800 viewers at 20:00.
